In and around Jerusalem our Pilgrimage included visits to Ein Kerem – the birthplace of John the Baptist, Abu Gosh – the Road to Emmaus and Yad Vashem, the emotive Holocaust memorial.
We will walk the Palm Sunday route down the Mount of Olives stopping at the Garden of Gethsemene and the Church of All Nations.
We visited the site of the house of Caiaphas and the Upper Room. We visited Bethlehem including the Shepherds Fields and the Church of the Nativity. We spent a full day in the Old Walled City of Jerusalem visiting the Wailing Wall and the Temple Mount. We walked the Via Dolorosa the Way of the Cross and visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Garden Tomb.
In the Galilee our visits included Nazareth and Cana and the Baptismal site at Yardenit. We sailed on the Galilee in a Jesus Boat and also visited the Mount of Beatitudes, the Church of the Multiplication, Capernaum and the beautiful chapel of Mensa Christi, the place of Christ’s appearance in the Galilee after the Resurrection.
We stayed in 4* hotels both in Jerusalem and on the shores of the Galilee. All entrance fees etc. were included in the cost as is breakfast and dinner each day.
